Numerical investigation of the radial cold rolling process of the grooves

چکیده

The radial cold rolling process is widely used in industry due to the advantages of chip removing processing. In this study, circular complex profiles were formed by cold-rolling with feed, using a patented device two roller-tools. By achieving several numerical simulations process, study aimed establish influence that maximum set force and diameter workpiece have on productivity quality trapezoidal metric grooves. performed ABAQUS/Explicit software previously validated finite element model. penetration curve roller-tools material was introduced simulation as an analytical function determined based experimental researches. To express dependency coefficients other conditions, multivariable analysis design experiments technique performed. parameters result from analyzed are profile forming time, force, distribution equivalent strains axial section profiles, dimensions. conclusions drawn results regarding simulations, together definition efficient criteria, allowed also identification optimal conditions process.
